HIFU stands for ‘High Intensity Focused Ultrasound’, this treatment can target various depths of the body’s tissue for skin tightening, skin lifting and body contouring. Entirely non-invasive, HIFU works by targeting deep layers in the skin – it boosts new collagen production and collagen regeneration right at the source. It is sometime called the ‘Lunchtime Face Lift’ as the treatment is quick, very tolerable and has no downtime.
What is HIFU treatment for face?
HIFU treatment for the face works as a non-invasive facelift. It tightens the skin, irons out wrinkles, shrinks pores, targets the ‘V’ line formation and Jowell lines. HIFU improves overall skin tone, pores, brightness and elasticity.
Our ULTRAFORMER III Medical Grade CE marked, FDA Approved HIFU machine targets the upper dermis 1.5mm, lower dermis 3.00mm and most importantly the SMAS 4.5mm. The SMAS is the layer that sits between the muscle and the fat, the actual area a plastic or cosmetic surgeon would pull and tighten under the knife. HIFU targets this layer without any surgical incisions, giving the patient a no-downtime facelift. Which means you can gain excellent results without any risks associated with surgery. Treatments are fast and results are seen immediately! This is why the HIFU treatment is known as the ‘lunch time face lift’.
With our HIFU device we can even treat around the eyes, thanks to the MF2 slim cartridge, which allows us to treat your delicate eye area.
Does HIFU Treatments hurt?
Our HIFU device offers faster shot speeds and shorter intervals between each shot, this means it’s very comfortable for the patient, in fact far more comfortable and less painful than many other HIFU treatments on the market. Some people describe it as feeling like tiny electric pulses, or a prickly, tickly sensation.
Is HIFU Safe?
There are many HIFU devices on the market and lots of copy cat devices, that at best ineffective and at worst dangerous, causing burns or worse, this is because the cartridges don’t treat the the depths they claim to. However if a medical CE marked device is used by a trained professional then HIFU is very safe and effective.
Multi-platform machines tend to be less powerful as they offer various technologies in one device (like a jack of all trades!). A dedicated device to this single HIFU technology is much more effective.
